Benzema is on his way to Arsenal

Karim Benzema Arsenal transfer news

Arsenal are sending a party out to Spain today to seal the transfer of Real Madrid's Karim Benzema.
That's according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli who reports that a four-year deal has been agreed between the club and the player.
He tweeted: "Arsenal mission tomorrow in Madrid to close the deal for Benzema. Offer will be around £35m."
Gunners legend Thierry Henry thinks Benzema could be the missing piece of the puzzle that propels Arsenal to the Premier League title this season.
He told Talksport: "Olivier Giroud alone as a striker there – you can’t win the league, you need another type of striker.

GETTY ON A MISSION: Arsenal are working overtime to sign Benzema
"I think Giroud is doing really well – he went on to score 14 goals in 18 games, that’s amazing.
"But sometimes you need a different type of striker and I think that if they can get [Karim] Benzema, suddenly they are a real title contender and also in the Champions League."
The Gunners still have a chance to sign Roma's Alessio Romagnoli.
The defender was thought to be on his way to AC Milan but Talksport say that deal has hit a snag.
Milan have failed to strike a deal for the player's personal terms and the Gunners could still swoop for the 20-year-old defender.
