Billionaire founder of Canada drug firm in 'suspicious' death


Image result for Barry Sherman and wifeOttawa (AFP) - Canada's global pharmaceutical giant Apotex has confirmed the death of its billionaire founder Barry Sherman, after police reported two "suspicious" deaths at the couple's upscale Toronto home.
Police did not identify the victims, who were found on Friday, but Canadian media named them as Sherman and his wife Honey, prominent Canadians whose deaths sparked an outpouring of grief among the country's political elite.

The Gunners made history during their last Premier League title triumph as they negotiated an entire top-flight campaign without suffering a defeat.
That achievement has not been matched since, but City have made it through 17 games unscathed this term.

Nigeria forfeit Algeria match for fielding ineligible player

Nigeria have been sanctioned by FIFA for fielding an ineligible player in their final 2018 World Cup qualifying group match against Algeria, which has now been awarded as a 3-0 win to the Desert Warriors."The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been sanctioned for fielding an ineligible player in the match between Algeria and Nigeria on 10 November 2017," the Committee said in a statement.

Zimbabwe ex-leader Mugabe on 1st trip abroad since resigning


JOHANNESBURG (AP) — Zimbabwe's former leader Robert Mugabe and his wife, Grace, have traveled to Singapore on their first trip abroad since Mugabe resigned last month under pressure from the military and ruling party, the presidential spokesman said Tuesday.
Mugabe, 93, has gone on his annual leave and for routine medical checkups, spokesman George Charamba told The Associated Press.

Ever since a CNN investigation produced footage of West Africans being sold at slave markets sometime in November, human trafficking in Libya has become a burning topic. Stories coming out of Libya have been gruesome, highly unbelievable. What has been playing out in Libya, a sovereign state in the Maghreb region of North Africa, has been so pathetic, dehumanizing to say the least. Indeed, it is one story that should actually belong to the dark ages.
