Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been reportedly buys in the market looking to bring in another and experienced centre-back to the Emirates stadium after Gabriel joined Per Metesacker on the injury role to a long-time serious knee injury.
Earlier this month, the highly-rated Valencia defender emerged as our prime target and according to report from the Times, it claims the Gunners hierarchy were in negotiations with the La Liga giants trying to thrash out a deal.

Mustafi’s agent, Ali Bulut, quoted via the Metro then as saying that personal terms has been agreed between his client and the Gunners but the only set back is Arsenal are struggling to secure a reasonable fee with the Spanish giants.
However, it seems there are may be a breakthrough as the report from the Daily Star who’re citing Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli as saying that £25.9m deal will be completed as long as the German injury turns out not to be too serious.
As long as things go to plan, Giulianelli suggests that Mustafi will undergo his medical on Monday. The Daily Star quotes him as saying on Twitter: “Arsenal: looks like Mustafi will be agreed tomorrow.
“Club were waiting to see if injury would heal as expected. Looks to be €30m (£25.9m) #afc.
“Mustafi medicals with Arsenal expected to be on Monday.”
Base on my view, I still think the German is the man we’ll end up signing and he would be an excellent addition to our squad as he’s improved to be one of the best centre-back in La Liga over the past couple of seasons and he’ll give us real depth at the back.
