Arsene Wenger ‘Determined’ to Stay at Arsenal: Report

Arsene Wenger will resist pressure to leave Arsenal and will remain at the club for the duration of another contract, according to reports.
The 67-year-old said after Arsenal’s 3-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday that he would reveal his plans for the future “soon,” with Arsenal now facing a struggle to qualify for UEFA Champions League football next season.

Gaining entry into European club football’s top-tier competition has long been a stick for Wenger to fight off those critics who say he is sullying his legacy at Arsenal. He has two games in hand on fourth-placed Liverpool, but the defeat in the West Midlands was the fourth in its past five English Premier League games.
The Guardian, though, claims Wenger is “determined” to stay at Arsenal with the club seeking the best manner in which to break the news to sections of the support that have become angry in recent months at a perceived lack of progress under the Frenchman.
Earlier in March, Arsenal fell at the last 16 stage of the Champions League for the seventh successive season in a 10-2 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich.
Wenger is out of contract at the end of the season, with his decision expected in the next few weeks
