Wenger suggests Guardiola and Man City have it easier than his Arsenal 'Invincibles'

Arsene Wenger believes Manchester City’s unbeaten class of 2017-18 have it easier than his Arsenal ‘Invincibles’ of 2003-04.
The Gunners made history during their last Premier League title triumph as they negotiated an entire top-flight campaign without suffering a defeat.
That achievement has not been matched since, but City have made it through 17 games unscathed this term.
Wenger has not sought to rubbish those efforts, but he has pointed out that Pep Guardiola has considerably more funds to work with than he did when taking on the same challenge.
“We had no petrol but ideas, they have petrol and ideas,” said the Frenchman.
“It can happen but there is still a long way to go.

Libya and modern day slavery.

African Libya Slaves

Ever since a CNN investigation produced footage of West Africans being sold at slave markets sometime in November, human trafficking in Libya has become a burning topic. Stories coming out of Libya have been gruesome, highly unbelievable. What has been playing out in Libya, a sovereign state in the Maghreb region of North Africa, has been so pathetic, dehumanizing to say the least. Indeed, it is one story that should actually belong to the dark ages.

Kenya President Kenyatta wins 98 percent of vote in repeat election - commission

NAIROBI (Reuters) - Incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta won 98 percent of the vote in a repeat presidential election in Kenya, although only 39 percent of voters turned out due to an opposition boycott, the electoral commission said on Monday.
The announcement touched off small protests in a few opposition strongholds, but also celebrations in pro-Kenyatta areas of the east African country. Veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga had already branded the election a farce.
Given the deeply polarised atmosphere, some Kenyans fear that the violence seen so far - for the most part protesters clashing with police - is starting to take on ethnic overtones after two deaths in clashes between rival groups at the weekend.

Eddie Nketiah becomes first Arsenal player born after Arsene Wenger was hired to score for the club

In need of a goal against Norwich City in the League Cup, Arsene Wenger sent 18-year-old striker Eddie Nketiah on for his Arsenal debut. It took him mere seconds to finish off a set piece and force extra time.
A couple of other young Arsenal goalscorers are close, but not quite young enough. Hector Bellerin was born in March of 1995, Serge Gnabry in July of 1995, Rob Holding in September 1995, and Alex Iwobi in May of 1996. But Nketiah has skipped a slightly older generation — he gets this distinction even though he was born on May 20, 1999, well after Wenger’s appointment. He’s probably too young to remember the peak of Thierry Henry’s career.
Nketiah went on to score a second as well, rising above Norwich’s defenders to head in a corner, giving Arsenal a 2-1 lead in extra time.

Kenya's Odinga pulled out of election to avoid defeat: deputy president

NAIROBI (Reuters) - Kenya's opposition leader Raila Odinga decided not to stand in next week's presidential election to avoid defeat rather than for reasons of principle, the deputy president said on Tuesday.

Kenyatta won the Aug. 8 election by 1.4 million votes. The Supreme Court annulled the election citing procedural irregularities and ordered that it be held again.
"Odinga is running away from a humiliating defeat," deputy president William Ruto told journalists. "He has to find this excuse and that excuse and the other excuse to try and justify his exit."
