A stunning photo shows sunlight reflecting off of theOne World Trade Center days before the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.
Ben Sturner captured the photo from Long Island City around 7 a.m. on Thursday.
Sturner, who owns a marketing agency, posted the photo on Twitter along with another of a striking image he took exactly a year ago of a rainbow ending on the One World Trade Center.
e said he looks at the city each morning from his apartment, but was surprised on Thursday to see light reflecting off of the One World Trade Center.
"I am out every day and haven't seen anything touch the World Trade Center for a year and I look everyday and same day as last year saw this ray of sunshine coming out," he said.
Sturner snapped a few pictures with his iPhone and later posted them on social media.
Since posting the photos, Sturner said he's received an "unbelievable response."
"People have said that this has brought hop and resilience to those first responders and those affected," he said. "People want to share it to give people a ray of sunshine on an otherwise dark day."
